Start with a question
I clarify the problem, its context and its constraints. I define what a useful result would look like before choosing the tools.
Ideas, tools and people.
I connect systems and people. I want to understand the problem before choosing a tool, build alongside others and use technology with care for what matters: our time, our data and our freedom to choose.
Curiosity is the starting point.
Usefulness is the direction.
I like understanding how things work, especially when they need to work together.
Before looking for an answer, I try to clarify the problem, the assumptions and the constraints. A good question provides context and helps us assess the result. Questioning what I think I know helps me think more clearly and keep learning.
My path has taken me from teaching IT to systems, integrations and automation. Behind a solution that looks simple are tests, mistakes and revisions. I have learned how much it matters to bring different skills together, listen to the people facing the problem and share what we learn along the way.
I find the same interest in radio. A signal crosses a distance, and around that signal are people, knowledge and tools. Some are listening for the first time; others have been experimenting for years. I want software to help both, offering an understandable starting point and room to explore further.
That is why I am interested in programs that communicate with each other and everyday tasks that can become simpler.
I also livestream what I hear on the radio on YouTube: a way to open up the station and share the curiosity of listening.
Artificial intelligence interests me because it can shorten the distance between an idea and what we can make. It can help us find information, experiment and reduce repetitive work.
For me, using it well starts with the quality of the data and the questions, and continues with checking the answers. I want to understand what information I entrust to a tool and keep control over decisions. Learning to use it also means sharpening our judgement, developing new skills and making room for our own ideas.
For me, protecting data means caring for the people whose lives it describes. I want to understand what information we share, where it goes and what it can reveal when connected. Trust is built through small choices too.
My experience also includes involvement with Radioamatori Uniti del Mediterraneo. Radio grows through discussion and the sharing of knowledge.
I value the time we share: a conversation, a meeting, attentive listening. When I meet other people, I look for fresh perspectives and ideas to take away. I want that same presence in radio: giving my attention to the person on the other side of the signal and making room for what I can learn from them.
Making a task simpler should give us time to think, listen and do our work well. I value productivity that makes room for attention and creativity, at a pace suited to what we are trying to build.
Radio Lab brings this vision together: a passion for radio, experience in integrations and contributions to projects built with other people. I want a station where tools work together and it is easier to turn a question into an experiment. From Malta, one connection at a time.
How I approach a project matters as much as what I want to build.
I clarify the problem, its context and its constraints. I define what a useful result would look like before choosing the tools.
I connect software, radios and services. Testing and feedback from the people using them help correct mistakes and improve reliability.
I aim to reduce repetitive work and check AI responses. I want the data, choices and consequences to remain understandable.
I bring different skills together, listen and share what I learn. A project grows when the people building and using it can contribute.
Teaching, the web, infrastructure and integrations. Different skills that come together in my projects.

I bring this curiosity to conversations about the opportunities that arise when technology meets local communities.
